Owner, Chris
Chris has been part of the Railhouse Brewery journey since 2019 and became the majority owner after retiring in 2025. His vision is simple: create a place where the community can come together for great beer, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences. From live music and trivia to family-friendly events, Chris believes Railhouse should be more than just a brewery — it should be a gathering place where people connect and have fun.
When he’s not working behind the scenes at Railhouse, Chris enjoys his go-to order: Railhouse Brew A Hef Too Far paired with boneless wings in Buffalo sauce.
Chris and his wife are raising their four kids just a few blocks from the brewery, and their deep love for Aberdeen drives everything they do. For Chris, Railhouse is about more than business — it’s about building something meaningful and leaving the community better for the next generation.

Meet Brewmaster Pete
Pete has been crafting great beer at Railhouse since June 2022, driven by a love for the art of brewing—not the paycheck.
His go-to Railhouse beer is Pineland, and when it’s time to eat, you’ll find him reaching for the double-fried Sweet Thai Chili wings every time.
When he’s not perfecting a brew, Pete has a hidden talent that never fails to impress—he can wiggle his ears.
Meet Brewmaster
Jason
Jason has been a key figure in the Railhouse history.

Meet Cora
RH Manager
Cora has been part of the Railhouse family since 2020, starting behind the bar and stepping into her role as manager in 2024. From day one, she felt right at home—and that sense of connection is what keeps her here.
She loves getting to know the regulars, watching families grow, and being part of the everyday moments that make Railhouse more than just a place to grab a drink. For Cora, it’s the people that make the job special (and she’ll tell you working with Chris isn’t too bad either).
When it comes to favorites, Cora’s go-to beer is the Orange Blossom—easy choice. Food is a little harder to narrow down, but the BBQ nachos with Blue Suede are always a winner, and the pickle fries are hard to beat (she swears the pickle-to-breading ratio is just right).
Outside of Railhouse, Cora brings a unique story as a first-generation American with Hungarian and German roots. She loves collecting tattoos from her travels, has a soft spot for hippos, and spends her free time practicing yoga, hiking, or catching live music whenever she can.
The Team
Meet Jeff, Head Chef
Jeff brings a true passion for cooking, creating, and entertaining to Railhouse Brewery, where he’s found the perfect place to let those passions shine. Since joining the team in November 2025, he’s been focused on helping build a welcoming, community-driven space where everyone feels at home the moment they walk through the door. Jeff takes pride in working with local businesses to source quality ingredients and elevate the brewpub experience—serving dishes that pleasantly surprise guests and go beyond expectations. One of his favorite parts of the job is seeing that first reaction, whether it’s someone trying Railhouse for the first time or enjoying a plate they didn’t expect from a brewery. When it comes to his personal favorites, Jeff recommends pairing a Holy Tart Grenade with the fried oyster mushroom sandwich—a combination that perfectly reflects his creative approach to the menu. And here’s something you might not know: before stepping into the kitchen, Jeff was a classically trained musician with a focus in low brass and percussion—so he knows a thing or two about bringing great rhythm to everything he does.
Meet Amanda
Assistant Head Chef at Railhouse Brewery
Amanda brings creativity, heart, and a deep love for the art of food to the Railhouse kitchen. Her journey here started with Jeff—the two met while working at a café in Southern Pines and quickly bonded over their shared passion for cooking. So when the opportunity came to join Railhouse in June 2025, Amanda didn’t hesitate. The kitchen is her safe haven, a place she treats as her own, where she’s constantly testing and creating new ideas—especially for the popular Meatless Mondays. What truly drives her is seeing the reaction from guests when they take that first bite, inspiring her to keep pushing the boundaries of how traditional dishes can be reimagined in delicious, meatless ways.
Her go-to Railhouse order? The oyster mushroom sandwich with sweet potato fries, paired with an Arnold Pucker—an easy favorite. Outside of the kitchen, Amanda’s creativity continues to shine. She shares her home with three dogs and two cats, plays in a band with her wife, and enjoys spending time working in the garden—always nurturing something, whether it’s food, music, or community.
